Welcome to Talib Al-illm ("the Platform", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access and use of our website, mobile applications, services, and content made available through Talib Al-illm globally. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform immediately.

1. Purpose of the Platform

Talib Al-illm is an online Islamic e-learning platform that connects qualified teachers, colleges, and institutions with students and families seeking to learn Islamic subjects in a safe and structured environment.

We provide the technological infrastructure to host and distribute courses, but we are not an educational institution, nor do we issue official certificates or endorsements.

2. Eligibility & Registration

You must be at least the minimum legal age in your country of residence to form a binding contract in order to use the Platform, or otherwise have parental/guardian consent.
By registering, you represent that all information provided is truthful and accurate.
Different user roles exist (Student, Family Admin, Family Member, Teacher, College Admin, College Teacher, Moderator, Super Admin), each with different permissions.
Teachers and Colleges must provide valid documents (e.g., proof of qualifications, institutional credentials) which will be reviewed by our moderation team. Approval is at our sole discretion.

3. User Responsibilities

Use the Platform only in compliance with local, national, and international laws.
Respect the Platform's restrictions, including gender-based interaction rules for live sessions.
Not share accounts or allow unauthorized access. Each account is restricted to one active device at a time, and a maximum of five devices over its lifetime.
Maintain secure passwords and promptly update account details when necessary.
Bear full responsibility for any content, communication, or interaction engaged in on the Platform.

4. Content & Intellectual Property

Teachers and Colleges retain ownership of their uploaded content but grant Talib Al-illm a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, distribute, and display such content on the Platform.
By registering, you represent that all information provided is truthful and accurate.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

Payments are processed via trusted third-party processors (e.g., Stripe). By making payments, users agree to their terms in addition to the platform's.
Subscription types include Teacher, College, Family, and Student plans.
Course prices are set by Teachers or Colleges. Talib Al-illm retains a percentage commission on transactions. Free courses incur no platform fees.
Refunds may be granted only in specific cases (e.g., verified report against a course) subject to moderator approval.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

Upload harmful, unlawful, or offensive material.
Circumvent Platform restrictions or attempt to hack, scrape, or disrupt services.
Engage in harassment, spamming, or prohibited male-female interactions during live sessions.
Impersonate another user, teacher, or institution.

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or permanent removal from the Platform.

7. Moderation & Content Review

All teacher and college accounts require moderator approval before activation.
All uploaded courses are subject to review before being published. Moderators may restrict, remove, or hide content in response to complaints or policy violations.
Restricted content remains invisible to students until reviewed, and enrolled users will be notified of the restriction.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free services, or the accuracy of course materials.
We are not liable for disputes between users (e.g., teacher-student, college-teacher).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to your use of the Platform will be limited to the greater of: (i) the amount paid by you to us in the past six months, or (ii) AUD $100.

9. Compliance with Laws

You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Platform complies with the laws of your jurisdiction.
The Platform does not monitor user compliance with local religious, cultural, or educational regulations.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or pose risks to the safety, integrity, or lawful operation of the Platform.

11. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of Australia.
Any disputes shall first attempt resolution through mediation before being escalated to formal legal proceedings in Australian courts.

12. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
